Proverbs 12:10 "A righteous man has regard for the life of his animals, but the wicked man is cruel"

The Wallace Farm is located in the beautiful piney woods of East Texas, just west of Nacogdoches,
and between Houston and Dallas.  Judy and her husband, Charles, were married in 1966 and raised
commercial beef cattle and horses. They acquired Wallace Farm from Charles’ grandfather, Ocie
Wallace, in 1976. Charles was accidentally killed while working the back pens at a bull riding in
Nacogdoches, Texas, September 12, 2005. But with 41 years experience in the cattle business, Judy is
able to continue raising cattle and riding her horses because “Charles was a good teacher and we worked
side by side baling hay, fixin’ fences, mowing pastures, pullin’ calves, vaccinating and worming cattle,
hauling cattle, and doin’ whatever else it takes to run a cattle farm
.
Judy decided to sell her commercial beef cattle and concentrate on a small herd of good bloodline
rodeo cattle.  She loves the bucking bull industry and handpicked some quality-bred, young heifers to
breed to #10 Ambush, a son of Cowboy Cash raised by Kent Cox.  In 2009 Judy decided to keep some
heifers out of Ambush and purchased #L413 Top Gun, a son of Lufkin Ranch & Rodeo’s Zorro, the 2007
CBR Bucking Bull of the Year.  In 2008, 4-yr old Top Gun was being hauled on LR&R’s trailer with some
of his brothers like Maverick and Derringer.  He was ridden at Cheyenne for 83.5, Del Rio, Texas for
85.5, and  CBR’s Brandon Edwards rode him for 87.5 at Lufkin, Texas. Top Gun was a rising star for
Lufkin Ranch & Rodeo when an unfortunate injury occurred to his left shoulder and ended his career as
a bucking bull.
He now has a career as herd sire at Wallace Farm.
Training bucking bulls takes up a lot of time, so she hopes that selling weanling calves will give her
enough free time to ride and show her horses, and visit her four grandchildren from time to time who
live in Colorado Springs. Judy is an ABBI member and a member of the Stock Horse of Texas (SHOT)
organization for people who like to show ranch horses.
Judy is a born-again Christian and attends First Baptist Church in nearby Rusk, Texas. She retired
May 30, 2005, after 26 years of teaching in the business department of Rusk High School.  She and
Charles loved to scuba dive and at one time lived aboard their 40-foot sailboat, cruising down
the east coast, Bahamas, Virgin Islands, and Gulf of Mexico.

John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who
believes in Me shall live, even if he dies.”
